Dog Clippers

Purchasing DOG clippers. Many different kinds, any suggestions as to which are good and which are crap?
Dog was heavy wool like undercoat so I need good clippers. Would rather spend the extra money to get sturdy dependable clippers. I have been told to stay away from WAHLs and only shop for Osters and Andis models. But so many models..
Take your dog to a groomer and ask what type of clippers would he (she) recommend.
